Self Portrait

Lynn took some great photos of me in the Kensington Market yesterday. I felt the urge to do something with the photos. So here I am!

Spring Is Around

Spring is around the corner when you see this in the window display of a show store! Was hanging out in Queen West yesterday and enjoyed the first taste of Spring, after such a long bitter winter!

Missed Connection

Ordered Missed Connection online the other day and was so excited to finally get my hand on it yesterday. Already knew what I was expecting but was still very delighted to see the actual illustrations in the book. I'm so amazed by all the details Sophie Blackall put in her illustrations. How could she come up with all the clever ideas?

LIfe Drawing 2

The model from last night was great. His poses were very energetic and therefore, very challenging, esp. at the beginning. I had to examine him for some extra time to know where I should start with my pencils.

Figure Study

I'm very excited about my figure class which will start next month. Since it's an advanced class, I'd better practice every day now so by the time the class starts, I'll be advanced enough to be qualified!

Houses

Saw an image of houses somewhere in Northern Europe on Facebook. I loved it and therefore, it walked into my sketchbook.

The Happy Show

When to see The Happy Show with Lichia yesterday at Design Exchange. It's an exhibit by the rockstar graphic designer Stefan Segmeister. At the entrance of the exhibit was the big question: How happy are you now? I think I'm happy! The exhibit was a lot of fun. The messages are short but deep.

Life Drawing Session

Went to a life drawing session at OCAD. It was even better than I had expected. The professional model changed her poses every 2 or 5 minutes during the first warmup hour then every 15 or 20 minutes for the next 2 hours. I got to sketch very quick. Saw some amazing life drawings from people around me. Really inspiring!
